Service Opportunities
Love Bags: Families
You and your family/friends can be paired up with a family currently living in The Shepherd's Way emergency shelter called Paul's Place. By becoming a friend and a mentor to this family, your relationship develops the needed "community" required to break the cycle of homelessness. You would bring a meal to the family on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month and simply meet with them for one hour from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m to "break bread" together, listen and get to know each other. Click here for more information. September 23rd Orientation!
Drivers
We are in need of individuals able to commit their time at least once a month to assist us in transporting families residing at Paul's Place Apartments to and from life skill classes on Monday and Friday nights at 6:30 and 9:00. Volunteers may assist with childcare on Monday nights while parents attend life skill classes. Requirements include a good driving record, the willingness to submit to a background check and drug test, and the ability to drive a 14 passenger bus (CDL is not required).
